Bringing “Serious Blessings” To Homeless Men
MONTGOMERY, AL –The Serious Injury Law Group has teamed up with two other local businesses for the “Serious Blessings” campaign. The event, on Sunday, December 23, 2018, is designed to bring fellowship and cheer to the residents of a local homeless shelter, The Friendship Mission, located at 3561 Mobile Highway.
The Serious Injury Law Group; Golden Shears & More, a locally owned chain of barber and cosmetology salons; and Wind Creek Hospitality will provide free haircuts, gifts, and a catered meal to the men who live at Friendship Mission West.
“The holidays can be a lonely time for many of our residents and can deepen their feelings of isolation,” said Tara Davis, the executive director of Friendship Mission. “We are so fortunate that three local businesses have teamed up to make this Christmas holiday a special one for these men.”
The founding partners of Serious Injury Law Group both said the Friendship Mission event is just an extension of what they see as their responsibility to the greater Montgomery community.
“Our firm is dedicated to helping people in need and this is just another opportunity for us to serve people in our community who face hardships, especially at this time of year,” said Attorney Chuck James.
“The Serious Blessings campaign is just another way to show the citizens of Montgomery and Central Alabama that we take our mission to uplift those who need it most seriously,” Attorney Gerald Brooks.
“Many of us take for granted that the holidays are a time of joy and family, but for homeless men in our city, Christmas can actually be a sad experience. I am always eager to find ways to serve the less fortunate members of our community,” said Reggie Miller, the owner of Golden Shears.
Local media are invited to cover the event on Sunday, December 23 between 1 p.m. 6 p.m. at 3561 Mobile Highway.
